Essane Diedro was born and raised in New York and started fencing at the age of 5 with the Peter Westbrook Foundation. Throughout her competitive fencing years, she has made cadet, junior and senior finalists at NACs and placed 6th at a cadet World Cup. She was recruited to Columbia’s fencing team, starting for the DIVI team 3 out of 4 years, going to the NCAAs twice and making Ivy All-Team. She brings a wealth of knowledge to Atlanta Fencers Club Foundation in coaching and teaching fencing, having been an instructor at the Peter Westbrook Foundation for 15 years.
