Tunde Mendes is a Senior Vice President and Manager for PNC Bank Credit Risk Review. In this capacity, he is responsible for ensuring that PNC Business Units underwrite transactions that are in line with PNC policy and procedures as well as regulatory guidance. This includes the validation of regulatory and internal risk ratings.
With 16 years of experience in banking, he began his career at J.P Morgan Chase where he received formal credit training. He has extensive private and public sector experience. He’s worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as a Senior Bank Examiner in the Wholesale Credit Group where he carried out asset quality reviews of Regional and Large financial institutions and led Shared National Credit examinations. He has also worked extensively in international banking organizations including BNP Paribas in the Commercial Investment Banking Group and Credit Suisse as part of the inaugural Credit Risk Review function.
Mr. Mendes received his Bachelor Degree in Finance and his Masters of Business Administration from the School of Business and Industry of Florida A&M University.
In addition, Tunde served as a Treasurer on the board of The Bradhurst Cooperative in New York City.
